 Q1: Can you tell us how your journey in this business began and what inspired you to start the business?

“As part of my degree in photography, I took on an internship with a photography business in Northern California. I had initially intended to pursue a career in fashion photography, however this opportunity introduced me to event photography. This included photographing weddings — and I quickly discovered that I loved being part of a couple’s special day, capturing their loving moments and memories. I brought this experience and passion home with me, and I was inspired to launch my own business specialising in wedding photography in 2021.”

From California sunshine to the rolling hills of Yorkshire, Leanne’s journey is a perfect reflection of her creative spirit — adventurous, passionate, and deeply people-focused.

Q2: What’s your favourite part of your job or business? Is there a particular moment that has stood out to you over the years?

“My favourite part is delivering the gallery and seeing the finished product of all my hard work. Hearing the reactions of my couples after receiving their gallery is so special. A moment that stands out to me is when a couple who were getting married at Ponden Mill, close to where I live in Haworth, were let down by their photographer the night before their wedding day. I received a last-minute message to see if I had availability, before going to meet a very emotional bride at 9pm to discuss their day. I felt incredibly lucky that I was able to step in and capture the memories of their beautiful day, letting them enjoy it without any stress.”

Q3: How do you help brides through their wedding journey?

“I offer a pre-wedding consultation for all of my packages, where I can share tips and advice on different parts of the day. Couples are often unsure of how the day will work and where the photography fits in, so I’m always happy to share my experiences and advice. This could include identifying times for couple photos or putting them at ease if they feel nervous in front of the camera.”

With her calm and friendly approach, Leanne helps couples feel completely comfortable and confident in front of the lens — ensuring that every photo reflects genuine emotion and connection.

Q4: What services or packages do you offer?

“I offer two main wedding packages: a full-day and a half-day option. The half-day package includes up to 4 hours of photography, photos uploaded to an online gallery, and a selection of beautiful prints — 2 (4x6) and 1 (8x10). The full-day package builds on this, with 8 hours of coverage, additional prints, and a complimentary engagement or pre-wedding photoshoot. I’m also happy to tailor packages to suit your day — whether that means covering destination weddings, adding extra hours, or providing additional prints or photo books. Alongside my main wedding packages, I also offer smaller services for elopements, legal ceremonies, secret proposals, and engagements — covering all aspects of wedding photography.”

Q5: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to brides?

“Soak up every moment. The day can go by so quickly, and it’s easy to get caught up in the schedule or small details. I would recommend delegating the organisation on the day, whether this is to your bridesmaids, planner, photographer, or anyone you trust! This way you can be fully present and really take in everything you’ve created.”
