Real Dotty bride Fran

Today, we're thrilled to share Fran's journey - from saying 'yes' to the dress to walking down the aisle. Read on as she takes us through her experience at Dotty Bridal and how she found the gown of her dreams. 

1. Tell us about your experience here at Dotty Bridal?

     It was just gorgeous from start to finish - I felt like I was 'one of the girls' as soon as I walked in, and was given prosecco straight away! We had lovely Jo looking after us, and she took us through to a beautiful room in the back - it felt so special and private.

2. Did you have a gown in mind that you were after before your appointment at Dotty?

      I had ABSOLUTELY no idea what I wanted, so I tried to pick a huge variety!

3. Did you go for the dress you thought you would go for?

      I had no idea what I wanted at all, but the dress I came out with was not at all what I would have thought I'd wear on my wedding day, which was a lovely surprise!

4. What dress did you go for and why? 

      I went for the 'Grove' by Justin Alexander. I wouldn't have picked it, I don't think, but Jo picked it out for me and I loved it straight away! I loved that it was classic and timeless rather than 'trendy' and it flattered my figure so much.

5. How did it make you feel when you said 'Yes' to your dress? 

      It felt so other-worldly and like a dream! I was so excited to wear it because I felt so gorgeous in it, and it was really special to know that my Mum and Maid of Honour loved it too. The Dotty Team, especially Jo, hyped the moment up so much it felt like a little party!

6. Tell us about your Wedding day? Where you got married and the styling to your day.

          My wedding day was the best day EVER - we got married at Thirsk Lodge Barns, where I know Dotty went to a wedding fair recently! I had the fabulous 'Ellie's Dried Delights' to make my dried flower arrangements and bouquets, but all of the rest of the styling I did myself.  

7. Any advice for future brides? 

      My advice would be to try EVERYTHING on - even if you didn't think you would like certain styles, try anyway! And just enjoy every single moment; enjoy being the centre of attention, dressing up like a princess for the day, and being waited on hand and foot! Treat every part of the preparation process as its own event and special moment.
