Founded by Radio Presenter, artist, and designer Rosie Madison, Dorothy and Rose is a size-inclusive, slow fashion label that celebrates individuality in the most beautiful way. Every piece is thoughtfully created from scratch in Yorkshire, made to order in any size and any height - because great design should be for everyone, not just a select few. 

What makes this brand even more unique is its artistic heart. Each garment features hand-painted, original artwork created in Rosie’s studio, Harrogate House. These designs are then transformed into intricate embroidery, meaning every dress is quite literally a wearable piece of art. 

The Story Behind the Brand 

Dorothy and Rose was born from a deeply personal experience. Rosie recalls struggling to find something that made her feel confident, comfortable, and truly herself while preparing for the national radio awards. 

Nothing felt quite right - nothing celebrated her curves, her height, or her personality. 

So she decided to change that. 

Using her own artwork, Rosie designed and created her own gown. That one piece sparked something much bigger - and Dorothy and Rose was born.

And yes - they really do turn heads. Rosie shares that one of the biggest compliments she’s ever received was watching someone walk into a wall because they were so captivated by the dress!
