Capturing Love Stories: An Interview with West Yorkshire Wedding Photographer, Annie Glazer
Your wedding day is one of the most significant moments in your life — a celebration of love, laughter, and the beginning of a new chapter. Capturing it in a way that feels authentic, timeless, and meaningful is essential. That’s where Annie Glazer, a talented wedding photographer based in West Yorkshire, comes in.
Annie’s approach to wedding photography is all about storytelling — not just documenting the events of the day, but preserving the emotion behind them. Her work captures those fleeting glances, joyful tears, and spontaneous moments that make every wedding unique.
Annie discovered her passion for weddings during her university placement year while studying photography. Since then, she’s built a thriving business and a reputation for her natural, heartfelt images and her ability to put couples at ease.
We recently sat down with Annie to learn more about her journey, her creative process, and what makes her work so special.
Q1: Can you tell us how your journey in this business began and what inspired you to start the business?
“I’ve always been interested in creative subjects, so choosing to study photography at university felt natural — though I wasn’t sure if it would lead to a career at the time. During my placement year, I worked for an amazing wedding photographer and absolutely fell in love with the process. Seeing how she connected with couples and the joy of capturing those once-in-a-lifetime moments made me realise that wedding photography was what I wanted to specialise in. Now, I get to do the same — and it’s such a rewarding experience.”
Q2: What’s your favourite part of your job or business? Is there a particular moment that has stood out to you over the years?
“The best part for me is sending the preview images to the couple after their big day. The brides are always so excited to see a sneak peek, so I make sure to send a small selection within a few days.
Sometimes I’ll capture a moment that I know is going to be amazing — and I can’t wait for them to see it. Their reaction when they receive those first images is always so special. It reminds me why I love what I do.”
Q3: How do you help brides through their wedding journey?
“Planning a wedding can be stressful, so I try to make the photography side as easy and straightforward as possible. From our very first conversation, I make sure to gather all the key details and outline the entire booking process clearly, so everything is in one place.
I always encourage my brides and couples to stay in touch — there’s no such thing as too many questions or too much inspiration! In the weeks leading up to the wedding, I check in regularly to make sure everything is in order, so they can relax and focus on enjoying the day.”
Q4: What services or packages do you offer?
“I currently offer two main wedding packages. The Full Day Package is perfect for couples who want their entire day captured — from morning preparations to the dance floor celebrations.
For smaller, more intimate weddings, I offer a Half Day Package (around five hours of coverage). Every wedding is different, so I’m always happy to create a custom quote for couples with specific needs.
Both packages include beautiful prints that make wonderful keepsakes or gifts. I also offer bespoke wedding album design, framed wall art, and other extras.
I encourage couples to come in for a free, no-obligation studio meeting, where we can chat about their ideas, look through sample albums, and get comfortable working together. Many people feel nervous in front of a camera, so building that relationship beforehand helps me capture relaxed, natural images on the day.”
Q5: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to brides?
“Enjoy the day! You’ve spent so much time planning and perfecting every detail — so once the day arrives, let go of the stress and soak it all in.
It’s easy to worry about whether everyone else is having a good time, but remember: they’re there to celebrate you. My job is to make sure all those details — big or small — are captured beautifully, so you can relive and appreciate them for years to come.”
Annie Glazer’s work is more than just wedding photography — it’s storytelling through art. With her warm personality, thoughtful process, and eye for emotion, she ensures that every couple receives a gallery that truly reflects their story.
If you’re planning your wedding and want your memories captured authentically and beautifully, Annie’s approach offers the perfect blend of professionalism, creativity, and heart.
