Bride Spotlight: A Wedding with Heart and Paws!

In honour of National Pet Day, we’re sharing a truly special love story - one that includes not just two people, but a very important four-legged family member too.

Meet Coco, a six-year-old Cockapoo described as “the most wonderful little being.” Deeply loved and completely woven into family life, it was never a question of whether Coco would be part of the wedding - only how. From the very beginning, finding a dog-friendly venue was a top priority. Quite simply, the day wouldn’t have been the same without her.

A Natural in the Spotlight

With her sweet, affectionate personality and love of people, Coco took to wedding life effortlessly. Surrounded by friends and family, she was right at home - and quickly became a star of the show. In fact, she was mentioned more than once during the speeches, with one running joke standing out: while her humans would do absolutely anything for Coco, she’d probably trade them all in for a tennis ball!

The Most Adorable Ring Bearer

Coco’s starring role? Ring bearer, of course.

She made her way down the aisle flawlessly, trotting confidently toward the front where the bride, groom, and father of the bride waited. The rings were carefully attached to her collar, ready for their big moment. After completing her important task, Coco happily settled on the bride’s dad’s knee for the remainder of the ceremony - calm, content, and completely part of the moment.

To ensure everything went smoothly, Coco was brought to the venue by her trusted dog walker - someone she knows well. This meant she arrived relaxed, happy, and ready for her big debut.

A Day Full of Joyful Moments

Coco’s presence was felt throughout the entire day - from walking down the aisle to posing for photos and mingling with guests, who absolutely adored her.

One particularly special moment came before the ceremony. Having spent the night apart, the bride’s reunion with Coco was full of excitement. Coco couldn’t contain herself - jumping up at the bride’s big, puffy dress in pure joy. Clean paws or not, it didn’t matter. It was a moment of pure happiness.

And of course, Coco stole hearts as she walked down the aisle - arguably the most memorable “walk” of the day.

Living Her Best Life

While Coco nailed her ceremony duties, she made it clear later that she was officially off the clock! During the confetti tunnel, she had other priorities - namely exploring the beautiful grounds, running freely, and enjoying herself to the fullest.

Safe to say, she had the time of her life.

Tips for Including Your Pet in Your Wedding

For couples dreaming of including their own fluffy friend, here’s the biggest piece of advice:

Have a dedicated pet handler.

Ideally, this should be someone your pet already knows and trusts, like a dog walker. This ensures your pet feels comfortable and cared for - and allows your guests (and you!) to fully enjoy the celebration without worry.

In this case, having Coco’s dog walker on hand meant she was calm, happy, and in safe hands all day long.

The Dress: Expect the Unexpected

When it came to finding “the one” (the dress, that is), the bride shares a valuable lesson: keep an open mind.

Going into the search, she had a completely different vision - leaning toward shorter, mini styles and avoiding off-the-shoulder designs. But everything changed once she started trying dresses on.

She ultimately fell in love with a stunning Dotty Collection gown called Marlow: a romantic, Bridgerton - inspired corset dress with puffy sleeves and an unforgettable train. A complete departure from her original idea - but absolutely perfect.

To complete the look, she added a custom Wona cape in place of a veil, designed to match the full length of her dramatic train. It was a last-minute addition, arriving just a week before the wedding - but it turned out to be the perfect finishing touch.

With the support of Neve and the rest of the Dotty team, everything came together beautifully.

This wedding is a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations are the ones that truly reflect your life - and that includes the pets who make it whole.

Happy National Pet Day to all the beloved companions who bring so much joy, love, and unforgettable moments into our lives.

Love from,
