Behind the Scenes: Our Day at Harrogate Bridal Week!

We’ve picked our favourites ... now we just have to wait!

There’s nothing quite like seeing the next season of bridal fashion before it arrives in the store. This Monday, the Dotty team headed to Harrogate Bridal Week for a day of discovering what’s next in bridal, meeting with some of our favourite designers and getting a first look at the latest collections.

For us, it’s about so much more than simply seeing pretty dresses. It’s a chance to spot the silhouettes, details and trends that we think our Dotty brides are going to love; and make sure our collections continue to offer something for every bride.

A Day of Bridal Inspiration

Harrogate Bridal Week brings together some of the biggest namesin the bridal industry, making it the perfect place to discover what’s coming next.

Our team spent the day visiting a whole host of designers and suppliers, exploring their newest collections and seeing the latest gowns and accessories up close.

We visited Justin Alexander, Yedyna, Veni Infantino, Allure Bridals, Allure Women, Allure Couture, Allure Romance, Abella, Richard Designs and Poirier, as well as discovering the latest from Poirier Accessories and Ivory & Co Jewellery.

And yes… there were a lot of dresses.

So, What’s Coming Next?

While we can’t reveal everything just yet, we came away with plenty of inspiration and new dresses for Dotty.

From statement silhouettes and beautiful detailing to modern takes on classic bridal styles, it was exciting to see just how much bridal fashion continues to evolve.

We’re always looking for those pieces that make you stop and think “WOW, I need to see that on a bride.”

We also know that bridal fashion isn’t one-size-fits-all. Trends might come and go, but our focus is always on finding gowns that make our brides feel incredible, whether that’s a timeless, romantic look, something fashion-forward and unexpected, or a gown that makes a serious statement.

It’s Not Just About the Dress

One of our favourite parts of visiting bridal week is seeing how the whole bridal look is coming together.

Alongside the gowns, we spent time exploring accessories and jewellery, including Poirier Accessories and Ivory & Co Jewellery.

Because sometimes it’s the finishing touches that completely transform a look.

A veil, statement earrings, jewellery or the perfect accessory can take a gown from beautiful to completely you, and we’re always on the lookout for pieces that give our brides even more ways to personalise their look.

Choosing What Comes to Dotty

One of the most important parts of a buying trip like this is deciding what we actually want to bring back to the store.

We see hundreds of gowns, but not everything makes the cut.

Every collection is considered with our Dotty brides in mind. We look at the details, the fit, the variety of silhouettes and, most importantly, whether we can imagine one of our brides walking into Dotty, finding the one and feeling amazing in it.

It’s this process that helps us continue to build a bridal collection that feels exciting, current and unmistakably Dotty.
