Q: I’m engaged but haven’t booked a date or venue for my wedding yet – is it too early to start my dress search?
The time of year and type of venue have a big influence on the style of dress you will likely choose. Deciding on these important details before you start your search will make finding your perfect dress much easier and more enjoyable.
We recommend that you begin searching for your dress approximately 12 months prior to your wedding date, and that you place an order no later than 6 months before. This ensures that your dress can be produced, delivered and fitted in good time
Don’t panic if you have less than 6 months before your wedding date, we can still have a dress made in time but it may incur a rush fee. Please get in touch to discuss if you have any concerns, we are here to help. Q: I’d like to come and see you and your wedding gowns – do I need to make an appointment?

AT YOUR APPOINTMENT
Q: What should I expect at my appointment?
Well, we want you to enjoy every minute! We’ll spend some time chatting about you and your wedding plans and from there we can start looking at what gowns will suit you best. Then, the wonderful moment of trying on the gowns can begin! We’ll provide you with shoes to try on with the gowns and if you’d like to wear a strapless bra, that would be perfect and then your underwear won’t interfere with the neckline of the gowns you try on. Please don’t wear heavy make-up or instant tan on the day of your appointment as our gowns are made of beautiful, delicate fabrics that don’t deserve to be stained or spoiled! Q. How long will my appointment last?
All our appointments last for 1 hour 30 minutes as we have found that this is ample time to allow you to try on a wide variety of gowns and also accessories. If you require a longer or shorter appointment please do ask.
Our bridesmaid appointments last 1 hour and again should you have a large bridal party please let us no when booking in so we can allow enough time to help all your maids. Q: Who should I bring with me? I don’t want everyone to see my dress before the wedding!
We completely agree and would suggest that you only bring your nearest and dearest with you. To start with, too many opinions isn’t helpful and secondly, this is your special moment and it’s all about you. Wedding dress shopping isn’t also much fun for children – we love little ones but they do need a lot of attention so if you can leave them at home, so much the better and enjoy this grown-up treat with an exclusive guest list! Q: Do you have dresses in every size for me to try on?
We hold samples in sizes 8-18 so there’s every chance you’ll be trying on a gown that isn’t your size so you’ll need a little bit of imagination! We use clips and pins to hold the sample gowns in place whilst you try them on. Your dress will be ordered in your size and fit perfectly after our super talented seamstresses have tailored it to you. Q: What should I expect from a bridesmaid appointment?
We have two completely different and unique bridesmaids collections, which we would love your bridesmaids to try out. Call to book a bridesmaid appointment and feel free to bring all your girls with you. We have sample styles for them to try on from size 8-18 and each style can be ordered in an array of different colours and prints. All dresses are made to order so please allow at least 14 weeks for production (rush cuts are available but will incur a surcharge)

We don’t offer any finance plans at this time. Q: Once my dress arrives from the designer do you store it for me until the wedding?
Yes we store your gown right up to the day before your wedding day.
FITTINGS AND ALTERATIONS
Q: What happens if I need alterations to my dress?
Almost every gown will need some alteration when it arrives in store from the designer. This is due to us ordering your sample size and the gowns not being made to measure. We have a very talented and highly skilled seamstress who takes care of all our brides and bridesmaids and we will ensure your dress fits like a glove for your big day. When you come in to the boutique to try your dress once it arrives we will book you in for your fitting which will usually be around 6-8 weeks prior to your big day.
Every Wednesday between 3pm and 7pm we have our seamstress in the boutique to carry out all your fittings. You’ll need to bring with you your bridal shoes and underwear (to all fittings) so that the gown can be altered perfectly. If you can’t attend on a fitting day, you are more than welcome to visit our seamstresses premises and your also more than welcome to use your own seamstress should this work better for you. Q: How much do alterations tend to cost?
Our seamstress works on a freelance basis and charges £15 per hour for the work she carries out. Each gown is so unique in every way so it is extremely difficult for the team to estimate a price until the seamstress has started work on the gown. Of course our seamstress will always advise at your fitting if a certain customization to your gown is going to be costly and she can usually give you an idea of cost at your 2nd fitting should you require.
